stereo hooked up to my computer

I play all my music off my computer.  I just got a pretty nice oldish Denon reciver and ADS speekers.  I was just woundering what output volume from the computer I should have for the quality to be at its best, and what volume in itunes I should have.  any other tips or tricks to get better quality ouf of my computer?
