Hey Falstaff,
Great config. How do you do the expandable albums? Is it only CUI, or did you use other components like PSS? Thanks for sharing. PS: The deviant art link doesn't seem to work. |

Thank you. It's a CUI config tha use PSS as splitters and ELPLaylist for the playlist viewer, WSH Panel Mod for all the other panels except foo_quicksearch toolbar ans Shpeck for the Spectrum Channel vis! >>> link is bad, here is the good one : http://br3tt.deviantart.com/art/Slate-1-0-279317532 This post has been edited by Falstaff: Jan 15 2012, 00:21 -------------------- http://br3tt.online.fr/

Thanks for the info.
I've just started putting a little more effort into customizing Foobar2K, and while I feel a bit overwhelmed by all there is to learn, it's great to see what it becomes when people put some effort into it . Still a while before I get there though!!! |

Here's my layout. Would be a lot better if I actually had any design skills to make it what I want it to be.

mine... ![]() Big fonts because it sits on my HTPC which is hooked up to my 55" TV. Very cool and nice for a big screen! Can you please tell me what to do (download, install, configure) to get this exact same setting? Many thanks in advance! It's actually a simple setup. You need: foo ui columns (obviously) foo uie albumlist (top left panel) foo uie vis peakmeter spectrum foo playcount foo wave seekbar foo uie wsh panel mod (only used for volume bar) |

^ @nosgah - I have a feeling your layout is "DUI" (Default User Interface). This forum is named "Columns UI appearance" !!!

that is most definitely columns UI. loads of reasons why it's easy to tell.
the playlist has left aligned/right aligned text in the group header. no playlists support this except NGplaylist the playback buttons/seekbar/volume/visualisation are different to default UI and are instantly recognisable if you know columns UI. there is a searchbox there (3rd party toolbars are not supported in default UI) the status bar says it is an autoplaylist with a padlock icon (only columns UI does this) i think i'll stop now. Maybe you are right marc, I'm no expert on spotting these things.
But, the thing that made me say this is the "Facets" tab; I thought Facets could only be used as a pop-up window in CUI !? The other thing is the sub-groupings; his playlist is rendering sub-groupings. Is that possible in Columns UI? If it is possible then can you explain how it's done. Thanks. Since I just posted this in another thread, I figured I'd toss it up here as well.
This is a quick layout I drafted upon upgrading to a new PC. Layout was inspired in part from Winamp, as I used to use Winamp pretty heavily. Then threw in a few things for a foobar-esque flavor. Basic layout took about 5 minutes to make, but I've been working on the scripting in various parts of the UI to fine-tune and polish it on and off for about a month or so. I wish I could figure out how to use WSH panel mod to make some of the UI transparent, but I couldn't get it to work, so I gave up, and this is pretty much just vanilla CUI. Color scheme, I couldn't change the grey of the status bars and everything (or I could, but then Windows looked all funny) so I settled on making a lighter color scheme to complement it. I'm still working on finalizing text colors. Item details pane shows my attempt at working around the fact that it doesn't support $tab(). I'm quite impressed with the flexibility of both foobar and CUI. This is what my foobar (DUI) looked like on my XP system. (OH GOD RUN!) ![]() Yeah, I spent zero effort on it. Here is a link to my settings, do a clean foobar2000 portable install and drop the files in that directory: http://www.mediafire.com/?3wyqez1fz2h1gey
@MDMA: Not sure where I got the script from, I do know I removed the ReplayGain part of it to reflect the original audio: http://pastebin.com/fG4YPqFS . Just tick the coloring boxes and choose. The link to the original theme is botched, it has been shortened with ellipsis.

Hi, guys. I'm posting a shot of my config. ![]() I've just got a kinda newb question. Can I change the colour and backgrounf of the tabbed panels (Tab stack & Playlist tabs)? It'd be cool to be able, but I can't seem to find a way. I've seen other configs, who use tabs for navigation and the weren't the default ones, but I can't seem to do it. And if it's not possible is there any other way to get tabbed navigation and playlists? WSH panel? Thanks for the help Dude.. you have got to put this up on deviant art or somewhere for us to grab. |
