foobar2000 not encoding FLAC--> vorbis properly, oggdrop is

On my computer, it doesn't matter how I encode FLAC --> vorbis, it always works.

When I use foobar2000 to encode, it doesn't matter what encoder I use, it always works on my PC but never on my portable. Oggdropxpd works on my PC but it doesn't take cuesheets and I have to open two instances so it uses both cores.

When I get back later tonight, I can post a ten second clip of a vorbis file that works on my portable, and a 10 second clip of one that plays on the PC and not the portable, so perhaps someone can see what foobar2000 does different... I am a bit late as it is so I cannot do that now.  I was hoping to get some suggestions before I post the clips.

The portable is a Cowon A2.

I tried low and high bitrates, tags and no tags, and each encoder on the rarewares page so far.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Those are 10 second clips.. if anyone can tell me what is wrong with the foobar versions that is not wrong, or the same as the oggdrop, this would be of great help. foobar2000 0.8.3 special with some diskwriter plugins, if anyone still has that lying around somewhere, would also be a large help.

Thanks for the old foobar version, this will come in very handy if I can get some diskwriter action going.

I tried with no tags on the mp3s and the vorbis.. the vorbis still won't play, and the mp3 still skips.

All of those old versions, even the "special" versions, lack any of the diskwriter plugins I was hoping to find.
