Thank you for producing a great plugin for foobar2000.
My music library is all in flac format and I recently tried using foobar2000 to stream mp3, wav and flac files to a dsm320 (I know its outdated). The mp3 and wav files streamed without any problems when configuring to stream the file directly (transcode never and pcm decode never). As the dsm320 accepts wav files, I attempted to stream the flac files by making flac extensions as exceptions to the pcm decode. This failed with the following error log: foo_upnp: 10199.10199297: PLT_HttpServerSocketTask::Read(197)/184: WARNING: NPT_CHECK failed, result=-20400 (NPT_ERROR_CONNECTION_RESET) [(res)] foo_upnp: opened 'file://C:\media\01-These Are Days.flac' for streaming, profile: Default, LPCM / 44100 Hz / 16 bits / 2 channels, replaygain: off, DSP chain: off foo_upnp: 10200.10200313: PLT_HttpServerSocketTask::Write(410)/2436: WARNING: NPT_CHECK failed, result=-20400 (NPT_ERROR_CONNECTION_RESET) [(NPT_StreamToStreamCopy( *body_stream.AsPointer(), *output_stream.AsPointer(), 0, entity->GetContentLength(), 0, abort))] foo_upnp: 10200.10200313: PLT_HttpServerSocketTask::Read(197)/1176: WARNING: NPT_CHECK failed, result=-20400 (NPT_ERROR_CONNECTION_RESET) [(res)] foo_upnp: opened 'file://C:\media\01-These Are Days.flac' for streaming, profile: Default, LPCM / 44100 Hz / 16 bits / 2 channels, replaygain: off, DSP chain: off foo_upnp: 10201.10201328: PLT_HttpServerSocketTask::Write(410)/3988: WARNING: NPT_CHECK failed, result=-20400 (NPT_ERROR_CONNECTION_RESET) [(NPT_StreamToStreamCopy( *body_stream.AsPointer(), *output_stream.AsPointer(), 0, entity->GetContentLength(), 0, abort))] foo_upnp: 10201.10201328: PLT_HttpServerSocketTask::Read(197)/3624: WARNING: NPT_CHECK failed, result=-20400 (NPT_ERROR_CONNECTION_RESET) [(res)] foo_upnp: opened 'file://C:\media\01-These Are Days.flac' for streaming, profile: Default, LPCM / 44100 Hz / 16 bits / 2 channels, replaygain: off, DSP chain: off foo_upnp: 10204.10204844: PLT_HttpServerSocketTask::Write(410)/768: WARNING: NPT_CHECK failed, result=-20400 (NPT_ERROR_CONNECTION_RESET) [(NPT_StreamToStreamCopy( *body_stream.AsPointer(), *output_stream.AsPointer(), 0, entity->GetContentLength(), 0, abort))] : This same error would occur for the mp3 and wav files when pcm decode was set to never. The situation was identical when lpcm was selected except that lpcm was indicated instead of wav. My attempts to transcode the flac files to mp3 would cause foobar2000 to crash but I am not really interested in pursuing a transcode to mp3 solution. Thanks for your time. |

How not to post a question:
• miss the dedicated thread for that topic; • open the resulting unnecessary separate thread with “Thank you for producing a great plugin” without thinking to identify that “you” and that “great plugin”, leaving these to readers’ deduction only. I’m glad you rethought and consequently posted in the correct location and asked me to delete this, but I’d have considered binning it for these reasons anyway.
