Hello all,
Is it possible to make foobar prefer embedded cover over external file when both are presented? Doing a search it seems it was the default behavior a while back, but now it look like the other way around - when both are present, the external is preferred. Thanks, Adam. * EDIT * Perhaps I should state the final goal to make things a bit clearer. Suppose an album consists of several cd's, each with its own cover art. I would like to have an external cover art, corresponding to the album as a whole, that will be used, for example, in Facets and SimPlaylist. In addition, each track will have its own cover art embedded, and it will be used in the main cover art window when the track is being played. Got it!
After much trail and error, I managed to achieve what I needed: - For each album containing more than one CD, split the tracks according to CD's into subfolders. - Main folder of the album contains "folder.jpg" (or whatever) of the "album" cover art. - Each subfolder contains cover art for the particular CD (again, using "folder.jpg"). - Add "..\folder.jpg" to image search patterns. This way, when in Facets or SimPlaylist, the "album" cover art is displayed all the time, but the main cover art windows, as well as the Deskband Control displays currently playing track art (corresponding to the file in current subfolder). Best, Adam.

Currently, the larger art (by filesize) is preferred.
