What is the best encoder right now for AAC? Have there even been any recent tests? If so, I'd like to hear about them.
The sort of bitrates I encode in are around the range of 192kbps, if that helps. Edit: In terms of quality, that is. I don't care too much about encoding speed. This post has been edited by daudi: Jul 26 2010, 12:08 |

Today best AAC LC encoders are Nero AAC (1.5.4.0 is the latest version) and QuickTime AAC (QAAC or QTAACENC + latest QuickTime).
One of them can be better than other one for different music samples... This post has been edited by Steve Forte Rio: Jul 26 2010, 12:33 |
