If I got it right, "remove dublicates" means remove file(s) with same path+same filename.
What about perhaps a popup "remove dublicates by..."
  • same path+same filename (as it is now?)
  • same filename
  • same tags

It is most probably not that important feature but something I thought about.

I'd like this too, especially the ability to remove duplicates in archives, e.g. when I keep the original zipped files along with the unzipped music.

Why the duplicity? Foobar can play from the archive just fine, or it takes not too long to re-zip the archive anyways...

I just like to keep the original zip files around, especially for zips which contain more than just the music file, such as demos.

I'll grant that a remove duplicates that is more than an exact path/filename match is kind of an accomodation for lazyness, but it is still pretty handy even so.
