Avatar policy change

Effective immediately, GIF files are no longer allowed for avatars. This was done to avoid users uploading annoying and distracting animated GIFs.

No avatars will be purged, so if you currently have a GIF avatar, it won't disappear.

We're also not carpet-bombing animated GIFs away. If your avatar is animated, but not annoyingly or distractingly so, you will get to keep it.

If you have a non-animated GIF-file you would like to use as an avatar, please convert it to PNG instead. It makes the file smaller to boot, so everyone wins.

Your avatar is an example of what we're not nuking. I didn't even notice it was animated until I stared at it.
