I have some AIFF files, but I use FLAC as a standard normally, so i was wondering what the results of a conversion from AIFF to FLAC would be.
A disaster ? No differences ? A small loss ? Thanks Alan |

What did you think the word lossless stands for?

No impact on the actual audio (both formats are lossless) If the signal is one of the usual end-user delivery formats, yes (44.1 or 48 or multiples, 16 or 20 or 24 ...). But the AIFF-C format (same file suffix) supports signals which FLAC does not, as far as I know. -------------------- geocities.com/hydrogenaudio: http://goo.gl/tqYZj

Why not take the initiative and test them with foobar2000's bit comparator rather than rely on speculative discussion?
