[split] vbr header problems

I don't know what search keywords i should use to find answer to my problem, so i will ask this in here.
Problem is that foobar (0.586) does't display right mp3 track lenght. Originaly mp3 file was about 1h10min long and i used mp3 directcut tool to cut it smaller pieces. First track time is displayed 1h10min altho it should be closer to 4min and in file info displays bitrate=8kbps.  Is there some tool to fix that, or will foobar 0.6 display that track lenght correctly? I hawn't tested foobar 0.6.

VBR header I think. There are tools to rewrite the header. Search on the HA forum...

I Could'nt fix the problem with WAP VBRFIX software, but thank you for helping me anyway.

Did you do: right click in playlist; Database; reload info from file ?
Something typical of FooBar

In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. In practice there is.

Yes i did, altho WAP VBRFIX saves fixed file with different filename and the foobar cant reload fileinfo in database. Also i try to remove all values from file, but that did not work also.

EDIT: by the way that file is encoded at 192kbps CBR.

Is it possible that your file has junk data at the beginning?

try using www.magnusbrading.com/mp3ts to check/remove it, it can also fix vbr headers.

If the junk data is written as an mp3 frame, you'll have to remove the junk yourself, a bit more complicated process.

Does mp3ts report the correct bitrate in its info display?

Thank you. I got the problem fixed with that program. There was no junk data at the beginning. The problem was with the VBR header and because the file was encoded to CBR format i had to force the program that you told me to chek and fix it. Default it won't do it. I think that was the problem with the previous program that i tryed.
