I'm using Audigy 2 ZS and recently switched to PAX drivers. I have a 5.1 system hooked up but, ever since I've installed the new drivers, any 5.1 content is not playable in f2k, as a "Unrecoverable playback error: Illegal number of channels" message appears, regardless of selected output, it does so with "Null Output" as well.
I am using Channel Mixer DSP to "upmix" stereo content to 5.1 and foo_out_ks to play it, both work brilliantly, giving me a clean and proper 5.1 output. The message appears in f2k with the new drivers, regardless of DSP use or selected output device, and playing 5.1 content via VLC works adequately, so I'm positive the driver is capable of delivering the sound. I've tried various formats of 5.1 audio, all playable before the driver switch, to no avail. Also, I'm not using ASIO or digital output, just plain audio cables. F2k v.1.1.13. I'd appreciate any input on this. Thanks! |
