What is choking CDex 1.50 beta5 now?

After lightning corrupted some part of Windows I had to reinstall the OS. Suddenly CDex crashes with a page fault error whenever I try to use Record From Analog. Neither MSVC60 or MSVB60 runtime updates solved the problem. What other libs could CDex dependant of?

Never mind, for some reason it worked after installing Nimo's codec pack. wtf? makes no sense... :/
