How do you get the little thumbnails for a preview?

Man, I so wish I was smart enough to be able to edit mine to make it look like some of you guys have. Mine's pretty much standard. I have Columns_UI installed and that's about where my experimentation has ended. I have my album list set up on the left hand side using foo_albumlistpanel, but other than that mine's standard issue.

It works fine for me, I've been using foobar for about a month and a half and just spent that time organizing my music and more recently with getting foo_pod set up so I can finally leave iTunes behind forever.

My experience with the program so far has been that just messing around and playing with settings (while asking for a LOT of help from the pros in here) has been the best way to figure things out, but I'm so coding/computer illiterate that I could never figure out how to get mine to look like some of these.

Wow, thanks man. I went through that entire guide and got mine looking somewhat like his. I changed a few things, for instance I don't have any album art saved yet, and I really don't have the time, nor desire, to go through all of my music and find covers for all of them.

As for that guide I still have a few things to iron out but that's a great starting point. Thanks a lot man.

Uhhh, I'm not sure what foo_buttons is, but what I did is I saved the pngs from the tango site, then put them into foobar by right clicking the buttons and hitting customize.

How do i install the albumart plugin, there are a bunch of h files that look like just a bunch of code in the folder i downloaded? And how do i get the trackinfo thing to display, i installed the plugin but i cant get it to display?

Maybe it does not look so cool, but at least I managed to use Track Info panel for something else than displaying technical details of the file (and it helped me to learn a bit Japanese)

i downloaded the album art panel plugin but the album panel doesn't show on the foobar display.

do i need to configure any thing ?

And it'll probably be not as cpu intensive. I change playlists by keyboard, and I have about a 500 ms delay at any playlist change on a PIII800.

I just switched from Winamp to foobar2000 this past weekend, and so far I'm real happy with that. I pieced the interface together mostly from tips in this thread. And the Toaster skin I downloaded from myxomatosis. Great work, by the way.

Here is mine after 2 days of using Foobar2000. I used Azrael and have started to kind of customize it...still hope to make quite a few changes but I'm a slow learner.

does the albumart plugin make anyone else's foobar lag for a few seconds? i dont know why its doing this
