Foobar .43 and different sample rates

I have a collection of different encoded mp3 and mpc files, in either 44.1 and 48 sampling rates, and when the playlist goes from either to the other sample rate, it will stop playing files at the beginning of the next file.

Soundcard: Audigy2 (.323) on XP Pro SP1.

For example:

Song A (mp3 at 16/48)
Song B (mpc at 16/44.1)
Song C (mp3 at 16/44.1)
Song D (mp3 at 14/48)

It will stop at song B and D.

I was wondering if anyone else came across this?

Actually, I have.

Hopefully, the next version will correct this. It's been quite a while since we've had an update, and people are saying that 0.5 is in the works and should be done soon with lots of bug fixes (esp for kernal streaming, resampling, and slightly higher than expected cpu use) Plus, we'll have a few more major features to play with.

As a workaround, you should enable Resampler as the first DSP plugin and set it to the native sampling rate of your audio card.

This does fix the problem on 0.43 if you experience it.

Please do not post links to beta versions of FB2K here on the forum.

Public versions will appear on the foobar2000 website when they are available.

Beta and internal versions are available to those who need them, and they will know where to look.
