Imperfect transcoding FLAC to OGG?

Considering the age of the topic, hopefully the OP has found his solution.
I recall that at least early Iriver players with Ogg/vorbis could not play the full range of bit rates.  Maybe the OP's music, or use of aoTuV encoder,  bumped into that problem even if the Q value was nominally acceptable.

BTW, the SSE, SSE2, SSE3 options indicate what processor the encoder was compiled for (not as clearly as if they were marked "386", "Pentium 4", "AMD" etc IMO)
