Creative Superrip?

I'm about to re-rip my cd collection and I've noticed my new Creative X-fi Platinum has a "superrip" option which is supposed to improve ripping quality.  I could not find much useful info on either Creative's site or their forums on this, and I thought someone here might have more information.

SuperRip essentially applies Xtreme Fidelity sound enhancement to the ripped files. It's supposed to make them sound "better", but since it tampers with the audio (irreversibly alters it), using it would be a very bad idea.
AFAIK there's nothing better than using EAC is secure mode for ripping your audio CD's.

I tried it out.  I chose 192Kbps, to compare the file with one created in iTunes, also 192Kbps.  The Creative WMA file sounded like ASS.

Is that supposed to surprise someone? 
That's why the only thing that Creative produce that I respect are their speakers. Not that they're THE BEST but after Klipsch (which I couldn't find to buy) I'd go for Creative. Nope, I don't think Logitech's are better than Creative's speakers.
