Hi - I have a couple of .iso files that I'm trying to burn to DVD - they are too large for CD. I burned them to DVD using Nero 6.0. I tried it as a data disc. It woudn't work on my DVD player - Pioneer DV-588a, which should play anything. I also have DVD-Lab Pro, but didn't use it.

How do I burn these to DVD? Thanks in advance!

I don't think that you choose a disc type when burning an image - so the fact that you maybe started a new data DVD session is most likely irrelevant. I can choose to burn from ISO without starting a new session - the new session is created when loading the ISO.

I would try the ISO with a virtual drive, like Daemon Tools, to see if it works.

Also, take a look at the burned DVD in Explorer, to see what the setup is.

As an alternative burner, I believe you can use burnatonce with ProDVD. I can't see that this will help matters, but I suppose it might.

I use ImgBurn. It's by the author of DVD Decrypter. You can also use Nero CD-DVD Speed to burn .ISO files. Two great freeware tools.

Why not use DVD-Decrypter itself? You can download it on www.rarewares.org under the "others" section.

The thing to do is to choose the "burn image" option, whatever software you use. Do NOT burn as a data disc, DVD video or options like that.

ImgBurn is updated and improved burning wise over DVD Decrypter.

Oh...thanks!! I didn't know that. I always thought that LightningUK was forced to abandon DVDDecrypter, and he just made a new program from the exisitng code. I didn't know he improved it. Thanks again.
