Dropdown menu in album list panel? (foo_uie_albumlist) Options

Hi all,

I'm (finally) switching over from Default UI to Columns UI. Just wondering if anyone can advise on the following:

When I use an album list panel in DUI (which I think uses foo_albumlist?), I get a dropdown menu at the bottom of the panel, so I can switch quickly between "view by artist", "view by folder structure", etc.

But in Columns (which I think uses foo_uie_albumlist?), there's no dropdown. In order to change the view I have to right-click at the top of the panel, and select from a context menu.

Is there any way to keep the "view by" dropdown menu in Columns UI?
(And maybe I'm wrong about the two UIs using separate album list components? If so, feel free to correct me!)

not strictly what you're asking but you could try library tree http://foo2k.chottu.net/#lt

each view is at the top level so you don't need to switch between them.

Thanks for the reply. This is a good alternative.

But a drop-down would still work better for me, since I already have a set of tabs next to my library view (search tab, console tab, tagging tab, etc).

Any more responses are still appreciated.
