How to put CBR/VBR mp3s together in one album

Your custom grouping scheme has a tag for codec information in it. Remove it, and the text of the group headers will be the same and foobar will condense the items into a single group.

Ohhh, wait, it's a builtin scheme "By artist/date/album/codec". You selected that one. If you select the one without /codec (or create your own tag scheme in custom groups), everything should be okay.

If you want to see the codec used, you could create an extra column. I'm not sure which tag you should use, as the builtin group uses something more than just %codec%.

So, i want to remove the CBR/VBR tags, so the album appears to be 1 again, instead of 4

At the grey header bar, with the 'Artist', 'Title', 'Album', etc. Right click it, select 'Groups' then, 'By artist/date/album'
