Does "remove duplicates" option removes only completely identical entries or the entries that has same artist/album/track or such?

and this is unerlated to the topic but how do I remove entries from library? there used to be a context menu available in old versions but I can't find this option anywhere in v1.2.3.

I'm asking these together because I sometimes have different file formats of the same songs and the only option I can find to remove one group is "remove duplicates" option.

QUOTE (shakey_snake @ Feb 20 2013, 05:17) *
Remove duplicates is based on path.

so it only works if the two files are under a same folder?

what if they were two different formats, say one mp3 and one flac with identical tags and file name? then they still won't be treated as duplicate even if they were in the same folder?
