Mac App Store: http://itunes.apple.com/ca/app/abxtester/id427554135?mt=12
The support link in the Mac App Store goes to this page: http://jogataki.cocolog-nifty.com/jsf/ Unfortunately, I can't read Japanese. I've been using it and was wondering if anyone else uses it. |

...I've been using it and was wondering if anyone else uses it. I wasn't even aware of it. I'll probably try it out now that you've brought it to my attention. Thanks. -------------------- The Loudness War is over. Now it's a hopeless occupation.

I looked at it. I am unimpressed. It does not sync the audio or normalize it. So you have to jump around in the file to listen to a section and then find that section again when you play the next file. Since it does not normalize, if one is louder than the other it is easy to tell them apart. I have not found anything good for the Mac and the only thing that works at all is the old Java ABC/HR. It takes some work to get a copy and get it running on the Mac though. I have taken it, put it in an app bundle and even tossed the decoders in the bundle for good measure. So now it acts somewhat like a Mac app. I click it, it loads, has a decent title, and a decent icon in the doc. Also it does a great job of ABX on the Mac. If anyone wants a copy of my bundled app I'll be glad to send it to them. It's 1.5M and requires java on your system. I had to change the code a little so Java 6 worked with it. The binaries are compiled for x86. I have only tested this under Snow Leopard on my machine so I can't promise it will work for everyone but it works great for me.
