Downmix Question DTS -> Stereo

Hi,
I've got some music in 5.1 DTS format. However I'm using my stereo headphones most of the time.
So, when I play it using foo_input_dts.dll, will foobar automatically mix it down to stereo? If I apply "Convert 5.1 to stereo" there's no difference. (My soundcard is set to stereo mode)
Can I still adjust the volume of each of the six channels?
