PlexTools and FLAC version

Currently I rip CDs via a Plextor CD drive using PlexTools Professional LE v3.13, the latest download from the PlexTools website.  When ripping to FLAC, I noticed PlexTools is using an outdated version of the codec(1.1.4 I believe).  To work around this, I rip to .wav and then convert to FLAC via FLAC Frontend, but I would like to avoid this middle step if possible.

Does anyone know how to update the FLAC version that PlexTools uses?  I've searched and Googled, to no avail.  From plucking around the file structure for PlexTools, it looks like it might be embedded somewhere.  Any idears?

Thanks,
