I use to archive my music using lastest lame at extreme vbr, but i wanna know how good is aac to archive music as well? 192 is the maximum i would use.

Using AACenc with -extreme profile, you will get bitrates around that and transparency on 99%+ of the musics.

yes, i would second that.

AAC iis better then mp3 at 192. even if you use dibroms tweakings
just be sure to use lates version of the psytell encoder -------------------- Sven Bent - Denmark
