foobar.exe process still active after closing app

why is it when i exit foobar 0.8.1, the foobar2000.exe process is still active in the processes tab in windows task manager? it doesn't use any cpu but it uses memory. if i open and close foobar 10 times, there will be 10 active foobar2000.exe processes. i'm using WinXP SP1.

Which third-party components do you have installed?  This is usually caused by a component acting up.
