I listened to a vinyl that was a little worn out today, and wondered if my stylus was getting old.
I recorded the same LP with both the current "elliptical" (in fact a Stereohedron) stylus and a spherical one, that has not been used very much. Listening to the samples, I realized that the problem came from the vynil. Now, if someone is interested, I've got samples of the same Lp read with the same Trackmaster catridge, but with a spherical (AL) and an "elliptical" (EL) stylus. |
