Quite a few members here have cats in their avatars, any particular reason (other than the obvious fact that cats can hear much better), or is it to symbolize to others that those members are "audiophiles"? Or is it purely coincidental that people who love music just so happen to have cat fetishes?

You dont have to to have a cat fetish to love cats. Even tho, i was wondering the same thing. My favourite cat picture is Lev's.

You guys are looking way too shallow-ly into this.
 There's a pretty much universal rule in life (yep, there are some exceptions). Technological persons like cats. People persons like dogs. Thats not to say that cat lovers are useless at relationships or anything, but primarily, we are all scientific / electrical / computer / (dare I say it) geeky people! I like pets at friend's houses. You dont have to feed, you dont have to clean the mess, but they are there to 'visit'!
But I dont like cats, i had bad experiences. Sometimes I think they only live with you because you feed and protect them. When they come next to you, its surely for food, but you can kick a dog in the ass it still comes after you. No offense here. I met my girlfriend's parents for the first time yesterday.
While we were sitting in the lounge being introduced their pet dog started licking its balls very noisely. They were obviously embarrassed by the situation, so to ease the awkward silence I jokingly said "Wow, I wish I could do that". Her mother turned to me stoney faced and said, "If you give him a dog biscuit he may let you." Cats over dogs I think. -------------------- I'm on a horse.

I'm so glad I have avatars turned off...
 I can't stand cats and IMHO people that have cats are usually a bit weird...I mean, cats don't do shit...they just eat, sit around and get fat...@Lev I'm a very technological person and like dogs (and hate cats)...
