Hydrogenaudio's Cat Fetish

Quite a few members here have cats in their avatars, any particular reason (other than the obvious fact that cats can hear much better), or is it to symbolize to others that those members are "audiophiles"?  Or is it purely coincidental that people who love music just so happen to have cat fetishes?

I'm think they have good, sensitive earing. This is only a guess, though.

Yes, it's true; but the dogs have very good ears too, and here I can not see dogs, with exception of a very rare case...

You dont have to to have a cat fetish to love cats. Even tho, i was wondering the same thing. My favourite cat picture is Lev's.

my guess is that the fetish is actually foobar related , since the fb2k dev was the 1st one to feature that kind of avatar.

You guys are looking way too shallow-ly into this.   

There's a pretty much universal rule in life (yep, there are some exceptions).

Technological persons like cats.
People persons like dogs.

Thats not to say that cat lovers are useless at relationships or anything, but primarily, we are all scientific / electrical / computer / (dare I say it) geeky people!  And we like cats.

I like pets at friend's houses. You dont have to feed, you dont have to clean the mess, but they are there to 'visit'!

But I dont like cats, i had bad experiences. Sometimes I think they only live with you because you feed and protect them. When they come next to you, its surely for food, but you can kick a dog in the ass it still comes after you.

No offense here. This is what I think.

I met my girlfriend's parents for the first time yesterday.

While we were sitting in the lounge being introduced their pet dog started licking its balls very noisely.

They were obviously embarrassed by the situation, so to ease the awkward silence I jokingly said "Wow, I wish I could do that".

Her mother turned to me stoney faced and said, "If you give him a dog biscuit he may let you."


Cats over dogs I think.

I'm so glad I have avatars turned off...  I can't stand cats and IMHO people that have cats are usually a bit weird...I mean, cats don't do shit...they just eat, sit around and get fat...

what would that make the dog? pretty dumb or just very devoted to his owner? (the old question about love / 'dumbness')... I guess the one kicking the dog would be the real dumb one here 

besides, some American ('underground') rap-stars must love cats and dogs very much, as they mention them in ervery second sentence...
