I started messing with dBpowerAMP, and it has a setting for Window Media Audio v9.1 as :
VBR Quality 98, 44kHz, stereo VBR VBR Quality 90, 44kHz, stereo VBR VBR Quality 75, 44kHz, stereo VBR VBR Quality 50, 44kHz, stereo VBR VBR Quality 25, 44kHz, stereo VBR VBR Quality 10, 44kHz, stereo VBR THis might be a stupid question, but are the 98,90,75,50,25,10 some type of percentage of quality of the original? |

QUOTE (audiomonkeyboy @ Dec 24 2005, 07:48 PM) VBR Quality 98, 44kHz, stereo VBR VBR Quality 90, 44kHz, stereo VBR VBR Quality 75, 44kHz, stereo VBR VBR Quality 50, 44kHz, stereo VBR VBR Quality 25, 44kHz, stereo VBR VBR Quality 10, 44kHz, stereo VBR i think they are 'supposed' to represent a % quality.. but they are just high-to-low (or should it say low-to-lower... uh oh.. i better watch out for tos8) settings for vbr. i dont think there is any standard to go by for what 50% quality really means. i've seen quite a few posts from people who use quality 25 for their portable wma players -------------------- Vorbis-q0-lowpass99
