Finally, I've started to use PanelsUI. But I don't like existing pui's. So here is my first work.
The idea of design from Maxim_289's vBar config, but i've made everything from the scratch.

It's fully scalable, and there are small buttons for changing size of cover art, side panel and filter panel 'on the fly' (look for small transparent buttons above panels, to the left).

I've always been one for a minimalist approach. But when columns included album art in the playlist I couldn't resist (at the left side of the window is a hidden tabstack with playlist switcher and different filters).

I mostly keep foobar minimized though and just use CAD (another clash with my minimalist and low memory approach).
The topmost cover is how I usally have it on my desktop (always on top) and the right cover is how it looks with mouse over and the info/rating toggled.

EDIT: It's the solid Aero style for those who doesn't want to find it by trial and error. The other two styles isn't as nice IMO.

I like to have all the 'neccessary' information in as little space as possible.. couldn't find a skin that really met my requirements, so I made my own ;-)

The skin has 2.5 modes:
- Playlist View
- Playlist View + Sidebar (Quick Search Panel + switchable Media Library // Playlists)
- Cover/Current Track ('Party mode' for me)

And what is most important (to me at least): It is very fast. There's no noticable lag many other skins suffer from.
Font is 'Unibody 8' plus Segoe UI and all buttons are made by me ;-).
It's quite easy to modify the colors if you don't like my settings there ;-)

I had the same difficulty in my MLCARS config and looking at Br3tt's (falstaff's) Reflex config I believe there is only one workaround. You place the Playlist (or any panel that has scrollbars) panel in a "container" panel that is the same dimensions and displays the Playlist (or whatever) at the same height but 17 or so pixels wider, thusly hiding the scrollbar.

This is my retake on an older layout I made. Meant to be ergonomic and uncluttered with a gazillion features. Uses both SCPL and ELPlaylist, left panel switches between Library Filter, Album Browser, Explorer Tree, Playlist Tree, Playlist Switcher and a settings panel. There are 4 layout presets, including two using Graphical browser and one with Chronflow. I'll up it in a few days.

The only thing that amazes me more than the great layouts you guys continue to come up with is the incredible shortsightedness of those who would like you to stop using the components that enable Foobar2000 to not look like the most bland-looking music player ever created.

My config is not nearly as elegant as any of all of yours, but it does do exactly what I want it to do.
Also, not being Photoshop-inclined, I have 'borrowed' lots of images.

It even has a mini mode.






p.s: what's the function that allows 'word wrap' instead of cutting off the name of the son---...g (I'm too lazy to search for it)

Here is mine. If I look at other configs here I would sayit is quite simple.

It is a columns ui config but using the foo_uie_panel_splitter.



It is really easy to add panels to the tabs because the columns ui splitter works normal.

A simple question for you. A serious problem for me. Here it goes.
I downloaded FofR's mod and found it very amusing. One thing which nags me is that it only shows covers which is in the same dir as the mediafile.

I guess with just a edit of something it is possible to like to place all covers in their own dirs and name them. "Bandname - Albumname.jpg" and then Foobar will find it on it's own? I have done this for a very long time ago. But I cant remember how. Excuse me for the crappy english.
