It would be easy to write an app to remove (at least a simple) wave header. But actually i wanted some independent testers and you couldn't call them so if i provided the testing tools. Perhaps it isn't such a good idea to force yourself to find an acronym. Given the nature of the thing you are trying to name, you would probably end up using two or more of the letters T (from your name), A (from audio), L (from lossless) and C (from codec). There just isn't such a large variety of acronyms you can form from these without using unusual word orders. I think Tony Robinson deserves credit for not using an acronym to name his format (Shorten).
It might be worth to base the name on something that inspired you, or - this is not a totally serious suggestion - after the day you announced it here on Hydrogenaudio: AP1 (after April, 1st). Though if you look at Acronym Finder, even that one is already taken.Just hoping to loosen up your mind.

Crystal is taken by more than one piece of software. Here's a trick : google "INSERT_NAME_HERE" download
YAA download is fine. Crystal download has VST instruments, GM patches and a video player... |

Diamond will be wayyyy overtaken. However, I really like Aquamarine, and that one seems free. Plus, it can make a nice logo.

In the end you’re not yet marketing a brand name, do you? Personally, I wouldn't call something I had written “Crystal”. But I would neither call my daughter “Lolita”.
