Has anyone had any experience with this: http://www.behringer.com/UCA202/index.cfm?lang=ENG
I wonder what the quality is like? I've had ups and downs with Behringer equipment. -------------------- "You can fight without ever winning, but never win without a fight." Neil Peart 'Resist'

Has anyone had any experience with this: http://www.behringer.com/UCA202/index.cfm?lang=ENG I wonder what the quality is like? I've had ups and downs with Behringer equipment. Looks like it has 48 kHz only and no S/PDIF input. I have no idea about the DA conversion quality, but I wouldn't expect too much. You may want to consider the real thing instead (I think Behringer has copied some of the external design): http://www.roland.com/products/en/UA-1EX/index.html Edirol UA-1EX: - natively 32/44.1/48/96 kHz (in & out) - S/PDIF (in & out) - supposedly high quality DA & AD converters. Looks like it has 48 kHz only and no S/PDIF input. I have no idea about the DA conversion quality, but I wouldn't expect too much. The Behringer unit does 32 kHz, 44.1 kHz, and 48 kHz @ 16-bit. They kept it at 16-bit to be able to do full duplex under USB1.0. On a side not, if you're (dreamliner77) considering a USB audio interface consider this: E-MU 0202 USB2.0. Can be had for $130 online. It seems like a great deal for what it features. |

I'm not really considering a USB device right now, but I thought for short cash, having a couple of the Behringers around the project studio might be a good idea.

Ive had the UCA202 for a little while now and I am very happy with it. For $30 its a nice alternative to internal soundcards in laptops etc.
