But wouldn't normal life make up for the time we spend listening to lossy compressed music? Its not like everything we listen to is made up of lossy compressed music, if it were true it would at least a LONG period of time for our auditory system to evolve towards that (am I right to say that?) so I would say that article is purely theoretical, but then again there is still lots of things that we still haven't discovered about the human body that I wouldn't be surprised that humans can and do use those frequencies that we can't hear for something different from hearing (telepathy!!!  ). Anyways back to cooking...
