Does anyone know of software (Win or Mac) which can convert a Roxio Jam disc image (Sd2f) to a BIN/CUE pair?

The Jam image file is in Sound Designer II format, and many sound editors can open it and convert it to AIFF, WAVE, etc.; alternatively, the image can be mounted with Roxio Toast and the audio extracted, but none of these generate the cue sheet. (Cdrdao would be nice, but I don't know how to make it work with a mounted image file instead of an actual drive, if indeed it's possible to do so.)

TIA

Mount the image and rip it using ISObuster if you want BIN+CUE. Of course, this isn't optimal for DAE, but I suppose it'll get you what you want...

Thanks for the reply. As I understand it, ISObuster is Win-only, and does not support S2df disc images. How can an S2df image be mounted on Win? Is it even possible, given that Win doesn't understand resource forks?

Open Toast 7's Copy pane, select Image File from the Options drawer, drop your Sd2f file in and then go File->Save As Bin/Cue.

It'll maintain the layout (INDEX 00, INDEX 01 etc) but track/disc titles will probably be written to a separate little text file named yourSd2f.cdt.

Take ffooky's advice first, looks a lot easier than what I was thinking.

I thought since you said you'd mounted the image somewhere that you could mount it anyway. Only now do I realize that you said you could mount it on Toast (Mac), and not on Windows, so I'm guessing what I suggested might not have worked.

Thanks. I didn't know Toast v7 could save as BIN/CUE. Guess I'll have to update -- straight to v8, I suppose.

I have converted to a bin/cue but I now have 3 images on my desktop....one called My CD.bin another My CD.cue and finally a third My CD.CDT....not having a PC myself, wich would I send to my PC buddy, so they can open and burn the CD at their end?

Thanks
