Original Album release year into tag Fields

Hi All,
I like to sometimes listen to albums of a specific era,
the influence sometimes generates through time.

My problem is the often the MP3 tag information I've entered
is the incorrect original album year,
often a re-release or remaster.
Without checking each album year through wikipedia,
is there any way to do this automatically?

Is there a master list of original album release years out there?

I think I'm going to have a long point and click session if I have to do this manually.

Am I allowed to bump old threads? This is still relevant.

I've been looking to add the original album year of release (as well as the original album), can MediaMonkey or Mp3Tag do this in bulk? A good amount of the songs I have are from compilations which have a recent year of release, despite being recorded longer ago.
