I want to be able to quickly switch which computer or device my headset (headphones+mic) is connected to. Basically what I need is a "KVM" for my headset. So one connector for the headphone and mic and then a set of connectors that go to my mp3 player, stereo, computer #1, #2, etc.
Anyone know of a device that does this? I could settle for one that just does the headphones (then I'll buy 2 and use one for the mic). 1. Audio quality is low on the list (this is for voice chat/gaming and usability) 2. Do not want to roll my own (looking for retail products) 3. Ideally uses all 3.5mm plugs (don't want a ton of adapters). RCA is out of the question, but larger 1/4" stereo plugs would ok. 4. Support for at least 3 devices 5. Ability to have more than one headset would be awesome I made a really ugly graphic of what I'm looking for to clear up any confusion (note: I'm using an actual headset with an integrated mic):

This is the closest thing I can find to what I'm looking for.
Hopewell 3.5mm Jack Audio Selector http://www.stuffgeek.com/prod_detail.php?prod_id=00270 You can select between 3 different sources and of the plugs are 3.5mm. To use with a headset (headphone+mic) I would need to buy two of them. Heres some pictures of the device: ![]() ![]() The model is Hopewell AV-200 and I can only find one network of website selling them (stuffgeek, which I've never heard of). Hopefully someone knows of other products out there? |

Thought I'd update this thread for anyone who's interested. I bought a few sets of these from stuffgeek's sister site:
http://gadget.brando.com.hk/prod_detail.php?prod_id=00326 and they work fine. Shipping takes awhile from hong kong but since its cheap and they work well I'm happy. |

I bought several of these a few years back and they worked ok as well (for two headsets or heatset vs. speakers): http://www.geekbro.com/index.cfm/hurl/page...urce=GoogleBase
