Hi there,
I'm sharing with you, how beautiful my foobar2000 is looking I'm creating this post with several screenshots to show how it was configured and also sharing with you some scripts for those that are using for first time foobar2000 and don't know very well how to use the script programming language, so it is just copy and paste. SCREENSHOT ![]() COMPONENTS I AM USING -------------------------- - Columns UI 0.3.8.8 http://www.foobar2000.org/components/view/foo_ui_columns - esplaylist v0.1.3.9 http://foo2k.chottu.net/ - foo_uie_albumlist-0.3.5 http://www.foobar2000.org/components/view/foo_uie_albumlist - fooplaycount 3.0.2 http://www.foobar2000.org/components/view/foo_playcount - quicksearch http://www.foobar2000.org/components/view/foo_quicksearch How do I install components? Just simply download the DLL files of each component (Columns UI, esplaylist, etc. etc.) and copy those DLL and paste them in the components folder of foobar2000, commonly located at: C:\Program Files (x86)\foobar2000\components HOW TO CONFIGURE COLUMNS UI ----------------------------------- Configure it to show groups WITH ART WORK ![]() Personally, I prefer groups with artwork SOME CONFIGURATION PARAMETERS -------------------------------------- ![]() COLUMNS ---------- Columns I have created in Columns UI with their scripts Scripts of the columns: Genre: [%genre%] Quality: [%bitrate%] Artist: [%artist%] Track Number: [%tracknumber%] Rating: [%rating_stars%] Title: [%title%] Album: [%album%] Date: [%album%] ♫ (musical note) $rgb(255,0,0) [%play_count%] Last Played: [$day_of_month(%last_played%)/$month(%last_played%)/$year(%last_played%) $time(%last_played%)] NOTE: Change day or month order to your convenience, I am in Spain we we use here the day first and then month, and not month before as you do in the US. Here is my foobar
![]() i use columns ui, biography plugin, lyrics show 3 and playlist dropdown menu. looks best with placebo ashtray win7 theme: http://solmiler.deviantart.com/art/Placebo...ows-7-188414149 now a question: how can i disable the borders between columns? like the one between the lyrics and the playlist? with the placebo windows theme it looks okay, but with regular windows aero the borders are too bright. if anyone wants the columns ui fcl file, just ask. i really like the theme, it looks clean and its perfect for me. i dont like it when the theme is more important than the usability This post has been edited by zevral: Oct 8 2012, 18:08 |

how can i disable the borders between columns? like the one between the lyrics and the playlist? you have to use Panel Stack Splitter component, it allows you to place you panels without the splitter border between components (and more!) http://wiki.hydrogenaudio.org/index.php?ti...nel_splitter%29 -------------------- http://br3tt.online.fr/

right click on splitter > splitter settings... with the dialog opened, place you panels or just set padding values from 5 (default value for left, top, right, bot) to 0, that should be enough to remove borders, for the rest, you'll have to search by yourself, reading the PSS topic and help files is a good start, then check some configs that use PSS and check their PSS settings if you need to learn more about it.

I'm a goof so I'm having some sadly very basic trouble: For album artwork, where it's a multiple-disc release structured like so: Weezer - Weezer (1994) [FLAC] {2004 Deluxe Edition}/Disc 1/files.flac -- and where folder.jpg is placed not in the directory with the files of each disc but the one just above it... How do I get the source list to recognise that?

How do I get the source list to recognise that? I think you've posted in the wrong thread. Use the [seemingly abandonware] Columns UI, alternative user interface thread instead for questions regarding configuring Columns UI. Regardless, this post I made shows the title formatting you can use to achieve what you're asking. There may be other title formatting that can utilized but I'm unaware of it. This might be a basic question - but is there a way to quickly switch between different layouts?
