We already have a few portable audio devices, aging but working fine Archos 20, and three Muvo TX in 1gb, 512k, and 128k. Its time to buy my wife a new phone, and my son has a death grip on the 1GB Muvo TX, so we are shopping around and considering a MP3 cell or two devices a cell and a mp3 player.

We really like the Muvo TX, size, battery life, we already have 3 for spare bodies, and especially the use as a thumb drive in our cars. Downside is that its kinda old, still max of 1GB, and not too competitive at $65.

Don't even think about isomething, wife is NOT willing to go there.

No interest in video support, wife doesn't even like movies on a laptop screen.

Nokia 5310 is high on our list, still looking for the 5320, and haven't seen a Rokr in the flesh yet.

Minimum of 2GB, thumb drive use without a cable desired, FM a must, but no need for more than 8 GB or video stuff. Fancy mp3 cell or two devices?

*** note Cowon D2 is SWEET, but kinda breaks the budget a bit ***

Thanks

We liked the Clip, but prefer something with a direct USB plug like the Sansa Express. We have some general quality concerns with the Sansa brand as well, cheap buttons, glitches etc.

After a couple days shopping, played with both the Rokr E8 and Nokia 5310, strongly leaning in the direction of the 5310, 8GB via micro SD, FM, good sound, nice phone too..

Special bonus maybe my wife will have her phone turned on most of the time now.
