When playing some of my songs, there's parts of the track that suddenly get more or louder. I looked on the file information of winamp and it said there was track gain present. Is that was causes this and maybe has something to do with VBR? And how can I get rid of it?
The track gain on the most noticable ones are around -10.00 to -11.00 dB |

Track gain can be turned on of off by turning Replay Gain on or off. But that is only to level tracks to match each other and your message indicates that the volume changes are within the track. Replay gain would have nothing to do with that.

One possible reason could be that the songs were actually recorded that way.

This has nothing to do with VBR either.
