Anyone know of an app that can scan album folders and let me know if the full album is there??
In moving files around HD's seems that some songs/files get lost in the process, and there's no real easy way of determining if what i have is the full album - that I know of. So, pointers welcome. If no such thing exists, I think it would be a winner if one of you geniuses could come up with such an app. This post has been edited by greynol: Mar 25 2009, 20:57

I recommend you read into it to understand how it works and then do a search for some open source applications that exist you can already use. http://www.win.tue.nl/hashclash/SoftIntCodeSign/ QUOTE "A well known and widely used cryptographic hash function is MD5. Especially in software integrity applications and code signing programs MD5 has been a popular hash function for many years now. Many websites making software (source code or executable) available for download provide on the website with the software itself its MD5 checksum." -------------------- College student/IT Assistant

You could move the files by copying them to the destination drive and then deleting the old ones using a duplicate finder like clonespy.
