OK, finally I've managed to get to deal with this.
Here is an x64 compile of oggenc2.85 with FLAC support. Currently this is based on the standard 1.2.3 libs, but if some kind people would like to test this and confirm whether it's OK, or not, I'll go ahead and build an aoTuV version. http://www.rarewares.org/files/ogg/oggenc2.85-1.2.3-x64.zip -------------------- John

Faster than the P4 32-bit build (32.8x vs 25.5x) - though for a transcode from FLAC (24 bit, 96 kHz), the x64 build was a little slower. Typical that I did a big Vorbis encode the other day... |

Thanks for the input. The FLAC build was using the x64 mod referred to elsewhere on the forum. My build and testing was done on a Windows 7 Ultimate x64 system. -------------------- John

Little Tip for using the x64 encoder with dbpoweramp or mediacoder or any other app under vista/win7, set the encoder .exe to "run as admin" and to compat mode for xp or in 7 for vista compat, this cleared up my crashes right away, and on my athlon II 435@PhenomII b35 3.5gz its VERY FAST!!!!
