Hi,
As I already posted in the other thread, I released a tiny tool for Windows to access the QuickTime AAC encoder from the command line. Now some important features, gapless support and pipe encoding, have been added, so I've decided to create a dedicated thread for this software. You can get the latest version here. I've been encoding a song from Abbey Road. At q68, I get 150kps. At every q value from 69-76, I get 168kps. I would have expected each additional q value to add a small amount to bit rate, rather than a jump between two values and then no change over a number of values.
Is this typical behavior? |
