No, the issue remains unresolved. I want to find a solution.
JA plays audio with DirectShow and video with DirectX. JA plays videos at a lower CPU usage than JA plays mp3s that are not at 128x44. This seems like a DirectX resampling problem? Whatever this problem is, it is more pronounced on my PII. Every mp3 player plays mp3s with lower bitrates & sampling rates at lower CPU usage than mp3s with higher rates - except JetAudio. It does not make sense that JA plays an avi file with audio at 32x24 at about 50% CPU usage but plays back an mp3 at 32x24 at 99% CPU usage ... |
