Hi guys,
I'm trying the new Audition (great improvement) but even though I copied the WV plugin in the .exe folder, it doesn't open WV files! I still have Audition 3 and WV files work like a charm. Does someone have to write a new plugin from scratch? Thank you. Matt |

It would appear that Adobe has dropped support for the old .flt filters (read here).
So yes, it would seem that someone will have to write a new plugin from scratch. Although it might be pretty similar to the previous one, some of the features (like saving cue points) were not easy to implement (and I think the WavPack plugin was the only one to save them). Too bad... David |

OTOH, that would be also great opportunity for promoting codec to number of other (mainly open source) tools, using this popular library
I mailed Mega, somewhere last year, about possible support for some formats and he replied providing me assistance in writing one. As I'm C illiterate nothing happened, but it shouldn't be hard for someone who already wrote decoder. -------------------- Scripts (mainly foobar2000 related): http://goo.gl/yje3h

I actually went through the same process with Mega many years ago (getting set up to add WavPack to libsndfile) but then got busy with something else (probably day job) and unfortunately dropped the ball. I agree that it would be great to get WavPack in there.
I have attempted to make contact with Adobe about a new SDK, so hopefully something will develop from that... |
