When using media server to stream to PS3, I get drop-outs every 6 sec, Was “mediaserver” subtitled “audiodropout” Options

When streaming(wireless) music to my ps3 i have audiodropouts every 6seconds.I also have dropouts when i use Ps3 media server but it's much worse with foobar.I have a hardline between my pc and my router(dsl-2740B)and wireless to my ps3 and i have xp professional on my pc.

That is probably because the PS3 client profile dictates that all files will be sent over the network as raw PCM, which requires a lot of bandwidth, but nothing that a wired or even possibly wireless network shouldn't be able to handle. For instance, CD quality (44100Hz 16 bit stereo) would eat up almost 1.5Mbps of bandwidth.

I've noticed the same problem when i was streaming music wirelessly from FB2k to our PS3. Our router was less than 1m away and it would dropout every 30 seconds or so. I have hard wired the PS3 now and no more drop outs.

http://www.thesycon.de/deu/latency_check.shtml i did a latency check and it looked good so thats not the problem and i did ping tests for the computer and router and it looked good also

Finally i've found the answer.I've found it on this page http://bubbleguuum.free.fr/foo_upnp/foo_upnp.txt and here's ow you change it in the Ps3 http://manuals.playstation.net/document/en...tfrequency.html just change the output frequency to 48 KHz on the Ps3.
