Now dual mic noise cannellation is widely used in smart phones, and i've read some paper like "REAL-TIME NOISE REDUCTION FOR DUAL-MICROPHONE MOBILE PHONES", it use fft to analyse the signal between the two microphone , i've tried this but it seems do not work very well.
Does any one know something about it ? |

Using DSP may be relatively recent, but noise cancelling mics have been around for decades where they just subtract the far pickup from the near one. That will cancel far away sources and emphasize close-by ones. THis will have a high frequency limit depending on the spacing between the pickups, but that't not a big issue for voice communication.
