5.1 Help for Mechanical Engg Options

Hi,
I am totally new for this..and im sorry to ask a quest like this...i just bought a 5.1 ht(sony DAV DZ640)i love it soo much..but my question is that...i have all my music files as mp3..i want to hear atleast a song in 5.1.The supported USB music files are mp3,AAC,WMA9...I also have some DTS files and tried to play it on USB but i cant play it...so tried to burn this .DTS files using nero,it also dosent work..and searched many forums to write as a DVD Audio file but my head is spinning.tried to create 5.1 audio using sound forge,sony vegas..tried to convert using wmnicenc,DVD shrink,belight,dvdfab and soooooooooo on what ever found in the web...but nothing works...i done all these stuff in last 1 month and i cant even hear a 5.1 music sound in my home theater...please help me.....
1.how to convert 5.1 wav to5.1 aac or wma9.(know to convert to wav from mp3)
2.how to write a dvd audio without loosing 5.1 audio quality

please please please.....

if no one is interested in replying..atleast provide a link to download a.....single ...one...1...song in aac or wma9 in 5.1 so that i will hear that for my lifetime.....

I successfully converted a 5.1 WAV file to 5.1 AAC using both qaac and neroAacEnc. Nothing special to do.

You are NOT going to get TRUE 5.1 if your original file is MP3 (mono or stereo). If your home theater receiver has Dolby Pro Logic II, it will have various "soundfield" settings for sending reverb/delay to the rear channels when playing a 2-channel stereo file. That's usually better than trying to convert stereo to 5.1 yourself.

Virtually all of my 5.1 channel music is "live concert" DVDs. The best source for digital surround is DVDs or Blu-Ray discs.

2.how to write a dvd audio without loosing 5.1 audio quality

In order to create the file structure & menus for a DVD, you need a DVD Authoring Application, such as Sony Vegas. For 5.1 channel surround, you might need the pro version of Vegas.

DVD Audio uses different special-formats than regular Video DVD. Most DVD players don't support DVD-Audio (mine doesn't), so it's more common to make a video DVD with a blank video or a "slide show", even if the slides just shows the artist & song titles.

I usually use WAVtoAC3 (FREE!!!) to create 5.1 channel Dolby AC3 files from 6 mono WAV files (plus a video editor to create the MPEG-2 video files). Then, I use DVD lab ($100 - $250 USD) to author the DVD. And finally, I use IMGBurn (FREE!!!) to burn the disc.
