Can you change the Foobar default folder?

I'm kind of a long time casual FooBar 2000 User.

I'm still using FooBar2000 0.9.4.3, but I didn't see a way to do this in Foobar 1.1.8 either - but it seems like it should be simple enough.

I only use FooBar for converting files, but it's a great program.

Anyway - when I launch FB and select Add Directory, it points to G:\My Documents (I think). I want it to point to something like G:\Data\Music\Temp\New\ (and then I can drill down from there).

I tried typing that in manually, but it didn't work the next time I opened FB.

FB will typically open to the last folder I selected, but I typically move the files so that folder no longer exists.

Thanks in advance!!!

Ctrl-P (or File/Preferences)
Look under Media Library and note the Add button.

Is that what you're after?

No, that doesn't seem to do what I want. It's mostly my own fault with my file structure.

Here's an example:

I open Foobar - no files are selected. Let's say I want to convert the music files in G:\data\music\temp\new\someartist-somealbum.

I select "File - Add Folder" and it comes up at "My Documents", so I have to drill up to "Computer", then down to G:\, down to Data, etc.

If I left the folder, Foobar would start at G:\data\music\temp\new\someartist-somealbum, but I usually re-name or delete that folder when I am done, so I have to start over again.

What I want is for FB to start at G:\data\music\temp\new\ - which will always be there and then I just have to drill down to subfolders of that folder.

Thanks

I figured out two workarounds that will get me where I want to be. Not what I was planning, but ...

Instead of selecting "Add Folder" from the menu, I can simply drop the folder I want to add from explorer.

And instead of using "Convert To" and specifying a destinatation folder, I think I can specify an default "Output" folder and then move the files to my desired folder after the conversion.
