Use google if you have advanced searching needs. It has a direct feed of the HA db

Gee... truly, I just know it now.
How about making a sticky-thread about using Google to search? I mean, n00b's may actually try to search using HA's wimpy search engine, found that error, and finally decide to post a thread anyway.
Note: Not being nsarky there

another method for google:
site:hydrogenaudio.org/forums ****** where ****** is any character combination
yeah, a sticky would be not too bad at all.

The site layout has been updated and google search is now the default. I hope this layout and functionality works better for most users.
There's also a tiny ad, which I hope does not annoy anyone.

I use Adblock Plus, so I don't see ads.

Opera 8 configured with the filter.ini listfile doesn't display any whitespace.

Uh, the elements on the top of the page seems to run into the blue bar. As soon as I got access to imageshack (my connection to that site is kinda flaky now) I'll post an abbreviated screencap.
Edit: Yay! Screencap below:

Hmm, I just noticed the new search upon reading this topic! I can confirm pepoluan's problem (I'm using Firefox 1.5.0.8 if that matters).

I don't know if any change has been made, but now (at the time of this posting) the problem has been resolved.
I am using Firefox 2.0.
If no actual change has been made, then I'll blame my caching proxy

2.0?? Shows how much I care about keeping up-to-date!

I got that once too, but a hard refresh made it go away.

The problem is indeed due to too aggressive caching in Firefox.

Thanks, Garf. Updating to this new-fangled Firefox 2.0 has made the issue go away. (And may I say - the new theme is very nice!)
