I haven't anything fancy like Tau Analyzer. Install FooBar2000 and activate the spectrum view. Play something of yours that is genuinely lossless and then something that is genuinely lossy. You'll see a difference. Then look at what yours looks like.
However, I am with n3tfury, you don't remember if you upped your MP3s or something to an APE file?
